Driftwood

Steven and I are at a beach pretty much every day. If we’re at work, it’ll be a quick walk at Tynemouth, the Fish Quay or Cullercoats with the dog when we finish. If we’re off, we’ll drive further afield and visit somewhere like Alnmouth or Cresswell. During these walks I have a habit of picking up bits of interesting driftwood and propping them around the house. Today I thought I’d document my favourite pieces. Hopefully I’ll keep up with this and eventually end up with a full series.

I ran out of driftwood and still had a few shots left on my roll so a piece of dead wood (will be firewood one day when we can find something big enough to cut through it) and a few strands of a ‘string of hearts’ got themselves a portrait.
